Who is eligible to participate in the WhiSKHA program?To be eligible, participants must:•Be aged between 13 and 24 years old.•Currently hold an NDIS package or funding from another agency.•Have additional support needs.•Have up-to-date medical support plans if applicable.•Have experienced past or present difficulties/eligibility issues in accessing mainstream holiday programs.3. How much does the WhiSKHA program cost?The program costs $20.00 per young person, per day, invoiced as an out-of-pocket expense. NDIS hourly fees also apply, with a minimum of 7.5 hours per day. Refer to the service agreement for specific details regarding NDIS fees.4. What should participants bring to the WhiSKHA program?Participants should bring:•Appropriate footwear and clothing for the weather and planned activities.•Sufficient changes of clothes for the day.•A sun-smart hat. Sunscreen is provided.•Snacks, lunch, and drinks, all labelled with the participant's name. All food and drink must be nut-free due to a strict nut-free policy.•Medication in a Webster-pak to be given to staff.It is recommended that participants do not bring electronic devices.5. What is the staff-to-participant ratio in the WhiSKHA program?The program provides experienced and qualified staff support on a 1:3 basis, based on individual participant needs. What are some of the activities planned for the Autumn 2025 WhiSKHA program?The Autumn 2025 program includes a variety of activities such as:•Swimming Days•Nature Walks•Excursions to Booran Reserve, Collingwood Children's Farm, Scienceworks and Melbourne Zoo.•Sports Day and Gymnastics at Leisure City.•CFA Visit.•Arts and Crafts.•End of Program Picnic at Fitzroy Gardens.The activity schedule is a guide and may change based on participants' needs and interests.8. What is the policy on medication, allergies, and lost property?All medication must be given to staff in a Webster-pak. It should not be left in the young person's bag. It's essential to discuss any food allergies, reactions, or medical conditions like asthma, epilepsy, or anaphylaxis with the Inclusion Services team. While staff strive to ensure all belongings are returned home, any property brought to the program is at the participant's own risk, and the program does not reimburse for lost, stolen, or damaged property.
