Tom Thumb and Hunca Munca, two mice, discover a beautiful dollhouse and its enticing, but inedible, display of fake food. Frustrated by their inability to eat the food, they rampage through the dollhouse, destroying furniture and stealing items to furnish their own home in the mouse-hole. Despite the destruction, Tom Thumb and Hunca Munca aren't entirely bad; Tom Thumb leaves a sixpence as payment for the damages on Christmas Eve, and Hunca Munca helps clean the doll house to show her remorse.
