Stephen was a pastor at Belmont Church in Nashville, TN for 22 years before launching his career as an author in 2002 when he wrote "The Character and Greatness of Winston Churchill". He first rose to global attention in 2004 with his groundbreaking book "The Faith of George W. Bush," a bestseller that Time magazine credited with helping to shape the 2004 US presidential election.
