Time is one resource that is constantly fleeting. We can’t get more of it, and oftentimes when we finally realize how precious it is, we can feel like it’s already too late. In the present without clear and concise direction it can be hard to know if your time is well spent. Especially when we have little to no direction in our life is it very typical to feel like we are wasting our time and it feels like many others feel the same way. Today we discuss what time well spent is and how we can begin to be more cognisant of the time we have and measure how effective it is.    Rigidity within our schedules can seem like a straightforward and simple answer to keeping us on task in regards to our time, however this isn’t always the case. There is value in taking time off, goofing around, and truly figuring out what you enjoy as well. While there are many metrics that society uses to measure how efficiently we are using our time it is hard to know what we truly learned until after the fact. Some of the biggest failures in our lives can become the greatest learning lessons. The biggest wastes of time to others can turn out to be the turning points in our own stories.    The only way that time is truly wasted is when we aren’t growing in one way or another. Approach your experiences with grace and on your own terms, because your experiences are exactly that YOUR experiences and you have unique takeaways from them. Consistently measure if the suffering that you are putting yourself through is teaching you something or if it is just driving you further to burnout. Time is always well spent when you are learning…about something, someone or more importantly about yourself.
